Chapo Guzmán escapes again

Mexican security officials confirmed that Guzman had disappeared from his cell in a prison near the city of Toluca. Infamous organized crime head Joaquin Guzman has escaped a Mexican jail for a second time, Mexican security officials confirmed late Saturday night. In a statement posted online, the National Security Commission said that Guzman, commonly known by his nickname El Chapo, was last observed in video surveillance footage headed to the shower area in the Federal Social Readaptation Center Number One near the city of Toluca. After disappearing from video surveillance, corrections officers inspected his cell and discovered it empty. Officials have begun a search of the area and have closed the Toluca airport.
