SpaceX will send two astronauts to the moon

Aerospace corporation SpaceX announced that it will send two people on a paid travel around the Moon late 2018, the first manned flight to go beyond the Earth’s orbit since the last Apollo NASA mission on December 1972, both passengers have already paid a big advance for the lunar mission, according to SpaceX.

“As the Apollo missions did, this people will travel to space carrying the hopes and dreams of all human kind”, said SpaceX, without revealing the name of the space tourists.

SpaceX has already carried out several space missions to supply the International Space Station (ISS) using automatized crafts radio-guided from the earth, and if they send a manned mission to orbit the Moon in 2018, they will become the first private company sending people to space.

The company informed that ths mission would be accomplished with a Dragon 2 capsule, propelled by an enhanced version of the Falcon rocket which first test flight us scheduled for this summer, and that 2018 mission will be the first of many others since it has a contract with NASA to transport its astronauts to the ISS.

Thos is a big chance for human beings to return to deep space for the first time in over 45 years and to travel faster and farther beyond the solar system than anyone else has ever done.

SpaceX, was founded by Elon Musk in May 2002, and its long term plans are to transport people to Mars.
