Amidst a Statewide crimewave Governor Vega travels to Europe

An economic promotion tour of Baja California wouldn’t be what people expected from Baja California State Government, amidst a crime wave which has affected all the State, turning a peaceful zone into an insecure region which might scare investors away, according to several sources from the entrepreneurial sector.

Baja California Governor, Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, will head a European promotion tour from June 19th to July 5th seeking to diversify investment sources and strengthen commercial links and to attract attention and interest in the State in order to complement operations in strategic sectors, with schedule which includes France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Iceland.

Economic Development Secretary, Carlo Bonfante Olache, will travel with Governor Vega and they will meet with CEO’s of important companies in the “Paris Air Show”, then they will proceed to visit Italy, Spain, Germany and Iceland, trying to lure investors.
