More than 800 homeless people have received attention at the DIF shelter in Mexicali

The 22nd City Council of Mexicali, through the Municipal DIF, continues to provide assistance to homeless people that require shelter from the extreme cold weather that prevails in the valley of Mexicali this time of the year.

Therefore, through the Municipal DIF, citizens were called to detect people or families in these conditions, and report it to Emergency number 911 or transfer them directly to the Temporary Shelter.

Personnel of the DIF informed that nearly 50 people received attention on Sunday January 14 in the temporary shelter located in Colonia Guajardo CREA facilities.

It was announced that since its opening 865 people have been sheltered from the inclement weather, in addition to receiving a medical assistance, and provided with a place to clean up and rest.

On the other hand, the Municipal Unit of Civil Protection announced that a minimum temperature of around 9 ° C, with northwest wind from 8 to 11 km / h is expected for Friday January 19.

For Saturday January 20, a sunny day is expected, with a maximum around 25 ° C, Northwest wind between 8 and 13 km / h, in the evening it will be partly cloudy, with a low around 9 ° C.

For Sunday January 21, a sunny day is anticipated, with a maximum temperature in the day around 25 ° C. and in the evening, a minimum around 8 ° C.
