The state Government of Baja California granted 32 million pesos for the construction of the CEID (Innovation and Design Building) Center in CETYS Campus Mexicali, which will take the space industry in Mexicali to the next level said Economic Development Secretary of Baja California Carlo Bonfante during the Great opening ceremony of the modern building where Governor Kiko Vega and Mayor Gustavo Sanchez were the guests of honor.
With more than 200 million pesos in investment, 6 thousand 500 square meters of space and the promise of 10 Innovation projects every year, among other important characteristics, this building will become a reference point in technology development and will position CETYS Universidad in a distinguished place regarding the links with the foreign investment companies that come to Mexicali to develop their Aerospace research and industrial development.
In their respective messages to the visitors, Governor Kiko Vega and Den Fernando Leon, remarked the importance of these new facilities and the relevance of this Research Center and the manner it will yield investigative projects and will foster CETYS leadership when it comes to teaching and researching new technologies all over Northwestern Mexico in even in binational aspect.
