Due to its atmosphere of tranquility and nature, the state government is promoting the Magical Town of Tecate as an ecotourism destination through the Tourism Plan 2018, carried out by the Committee of Tourism and Conventions of Tijuana (Cotuco).
The Director of Economic Development and Tourism of Tecate, Karla González, said that the event was held to offer the residents of the region and Southern California the products and services available in Tecate and otehr parts of the state of Baja California.
“We had a great influx of visitors and positive economic results, we want to show everybody what Tecate has to offer, such as haciendas, ranches, bakeries, cheese factories, handicrafts and of course the Ruta del Vino, just to name a few,” González said.
He stated that the Tijuana Cultural Center (Cecut), organism of the Ministry of Culture, promotes gastronomy, culture and the magic that Tecate has to offer.
Representatives of Cotuco, expressed that the event was held two weeks before Easter, so that tourists can get to know the benefits offered of the region through its cultural and natural richness.
