The eleventh edition of the Festival de Queso Carne y Vino (Cheese, Meat and Wine Festival) will be held in Mexicali, with the goal of encouraging the development of the agro-food industry, and agro-entrepreneurs in Baja California.
The Secretariat of Agricultural Development (Sedagro), through the Directorate of Business Development, invites citizens to attend this event on Saturday, May 19, at the AgroBaja complex, starting at 6:00 p.m.
Sedagro explained that the objective of the festival is to promote tourism, as well as the consumption and commercialization of products, to introduce these products to Baja Californian citizens, and to showcase the benefits of the primary sector in the State.
It will be an event that the whole family can attend, that wil feature a regional talent entertainment program.
It will have the participation of more than 40 producers, integrated by the “Mexicali Capital de la Carne” movement, wine producers from Valle de Guadalupe, and cheese producers from San Antonio de las Minas and Ojos Negros. Many of these products already have the “Baja California Certification of Excellence”.
The state agency reiterated the commitment that the State Government has with the entrepreneurs of the agri-food sector, so it will continue to promote these spaces where they can exhibit and market Baja California’s products.
