On Monday May 28, the suspension of dredging activities in the Bay of La Paz was ordered by a judge from the Second District of the State, an action that was directed to the Secretary of the Navy (Semar) and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) who are responsible for such activities.
“The definitive suspension is granted […] against the acts that the responsible authorities demand,” announces the document issued by the Secretariat of the Second District Court in the State.
The Second District Judge in the State, Nadia Socorro Moreno, provided and gave the signature for the aforementioned mandate, which was authorized by Secretary Francisco Dante Coronado Díaz Bonilla.
In spite of this, Civil Associations denounced that this definitive suspension has been violated, since the activities had been continued in the Bay of La Paz, BCS.
