Mexicali, Baja California.- An employee of a Mexicali nursery home, located on Justo Sierra Boulevard, was detected with tuberculosis, according to health authorities, An investigation to detect possible infections in children and other personnel of the institution has begun.
Néstor Hernández Milán, head of the Department of Epidemiology at the Health Services Institute, said that each case of tuberculosis could have six infections, but so far no outbreak has been detected.
He added that the tests were already carried out to the suspects of having contracted the disease, and now they are waiting for the results to give a sustained positioning.
Meanwhile, preventive measures have already been taken, said Hernández Milán.
In this regard, parents of the children at the nursery home said that they were not informed from the beginning what was happening, but only received a preventive talk about the disease.
