Kiko Vega met Education Secretary to negotiate resources to pay Baja California teachers

Prior to his meeting with President elect, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on the Governors National Conference (CONAGO) on Thursday July 12th, he met with Secretary of Education Otto Granados, to request and negotiate financial resources to take care of several issues regarding the Educational Sector, and the problems that the teachers have been facing such as fringe benefits related to retirement, and other relevant issues such as the pending payments to teachers which have been waiting for ages to receive their payments.

The main objective of this meeting was to pay heed and take action regarding the requests of teachers’ organizations (union) related to the delay in the teachers’ payemnt as well as retirement and pensions and to normalize the Federal Support which the State has gained access to the last exercises so the problems can be worked out.
