Alleged operator of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel in La Paz BCS is arrested

La Paz, BCS (Reforma News Agency) .- The Federal Police, together with state and municipal authorities, arrested Andrés U., aka “El Pájaro“, in La Paz, Baja California Sur, who is allegedly the chief of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel in that city and responsible of much of the violence in the state.

Manelich Castilla Craviotto, commissioner of the Federal Police, reported that the alleged drug trafficker was arrested inside a property located at the Pueblo Nuevo neighborhood, by special forces without making a single shot.

This person has been identified as the alleged coordinator of illicit activities for the aforementioned criminal group, which is dedicated to the sale and distribution of drugs in La Paz, Baja California Sur.

The PGR will shortly determine the legal status of the detainee.
