At approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday, CPD officers responded to Walmart regarding a male subject who was taking inappropriate photographs of women

Upon arrival, a CPD officer contacted the store’s loss prevention officer. The LPO stated he was contacted by two females who had reported that a man, identified as Sampoyo, had bent over in front of them and used his cell phone’s camera to take photographs under their dresses to photograph their underwear and crotch areas.

Sampoyo was then arrested for voyeurism.

“The Calexico police officer also viewed surveillance video from Walmart, where it appeared that he had also done the same to two other women,” CPD Chief Gonzalo Gerardo stated. “The other two women were not located.”
