Diver from Baja California Sur will represent Mexico in the Youth Olympic Games

The Mexican Swimming Federation (FMN), informed through a statement that, Gabriela Belén Agúndez Garcia and Randall Willars, both in the diving discipline, will represent Mexico and Baja California Sur in the Youth Olympic Games based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, next October.

The FMN chose to grant this participation to Agúndez who, thanks to her remarkable effort, has sometimes been compared with the South Californian diver Paola Espinoza and, therefore, considered one of the top talents of Baja California Sur.

The athlete will participate in the 3 meter trampoline and platform tests, as well as in mixed diving.

Gabriela Agúndez was selected to participate in the Junior World Championship to which she could not attend, because, at that time, she was competing in the Central American Games of Barranquilla, Colombia, where she won a bronze medal for Mexico.
