The Sonigas and Baja Gas and Oil companies in Mexico will begin the distribution of LP gas in Baja California and Baja California Sur, respectively, after the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) approved two plant distribution permits.
The regulator explained that with the arrival of these new economic agents will strengthen the competition in the area, especially in Baja California Sur, where only two economic interest groups participated.
“It is relevant because it is about the arrival of new economic agents in areas where they previously had no participation,” the CRE said in a statement.
The commission explained that from January 2017, when the price of LP gas was released, participants in this industry have shown interest in participating in markets where they had no presence before.
