MEXICALI, B. C.- Thursday, November 8, 2018.- The Government of the State headed by Francisco “Kiko” Vega de Lamadrid, through the Board of the State of Baja California (JUEBC), has developed a plan of comprehensive paving works for all of Baja California, with more than one hundred works projected for Mexicali, Tijuana, Ensenada and Tecate, which include integral paving, pavement rehabilitation, as well as rehabilitation and maintenance to the state highway network of the Mexicali Valley.
The Director of the JUEBC, Francisco Javier Paredes Rodríguez, was present at a work tour in the Colonia Ampliación Solidaridad Social.
In this neighborhood, there are still streets that have never been paved and for that reason health problems have always been a constant. The State Government wil invest 5 million 271 thousand pesos in this area.
The director of the JUEBC, said the plan is to pave the asphalt mixture from 5 to 8 centimeters thick; giving as a result, streets that with due care and maintenance can last from 5 to 10 years in excellent conditions.
The state official indicated that in total there will be 5 thousand 141 square meters of
new pavement, which will significantly raise the quality of life of the residents of the area.
