Baja California health authorithies have provided medical services to 5 thousand people from the Immigrant Caravan

Medical attention to 5 thousand 398 immigrants from the Central American caravan has been provided, 3 thousand 717 in Tijuana and one thousand 681 in Mexicali, through mobile units with 45 pregnant women in Tijuana and two in Mexicali, all possible thanks to the Coverage Extension State Program by the Health Secretariat of Baja California, said Secretary Guillermo Trejo Dozal.

There have been 3 thousand 277 services for respiratory acute infections for caravan immigrants, severe diarrhea attention to 145 people and dental services, vaccines, self-care sessions, electrolytes, folic acid, condoms, albendazol treatments among other services of health.

Secretary Trejo said that there have been seven people who gave positive for chicken pocks in Tijuana, 4 men and 3 women so vaccination actions among the shelters population have been carried out to prevent an outbreak.
