In order to consolidate national tourist destinations, the State Government, through the Ministry of Tourism (SECTURE), participated in the 44th Tianguis Turístico held in Acapulco, Guerrero.
SECTURE explained that in this event of international level, the main suppliers of the Mexican tourism industry and buyers from different countries interact, including the 32 States of the Mexican Republic, as well as 44 countries, so they can promote their tourist products.
The State of Baja California was assigned with a pavilion that attracted a good number of interested people, where tastings of dishes, artisan beer and wines were offere, and where renowned chefs from the region organized 4 gastronomic twinnings as part of the “Baja combines with Mexico” event.
The Federal Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués, reported that compared to 2018, this year the preliminary results showed an increase of 6% in business transactions at the Tianguis, thanks to the presence of 300 tour operators and a total of 1,344 buyers.
This fair took place from April 7 to 10, with the participation of independent hotels and hotel chains, airlines, tourism offices in the country, Governors, tour operators, travel agents and event organizers.
