CETYS Campus Mexicali participates in humanistic race RUN4UNITY

To create awareness about the relevance of the relations between Mexico and the United States, was the main goal of the RUN4UNITY international race for peace and unity, where CETYS University high school and college students took part,   and were part of the brotherhood message between both nations.

Noé Rigoberto Herrera García, who studies International Business in CETYS University, participated as member of the coordination committee of the race; he is also one of the 25 ambassadors of the NGO “New Humanity” which has a big presence in the United Nations and the UNESCO.

“This race is binational, essential for our region Mexicali-Calexico, it has a great international impact, and it has been promoted in social media, the Web and all around the world even when here in Mexicali we are used to living in front of a wall, this generates relevance”, he said.

The international race for peace and unity in the world RUN4UNITY is organized by the Movement of Focolares and Youth for a United World, which has presence in more than 150 cities all over the world. In Mexicali and Calexico, two racer groups run together all along the wall, aiming to convey a peace and unity message between both countries.

This race started May 4th in Australia, and it is happening all over the Earth to promote peace among all borders, and as a final message Noe says that it´s very important for CETYS and other educational institutions to get involved in such movements as this, since it awakens political and social impact awareness, which will leave them some big learning and the interest in getting involved in similar projects for the benefit of society.
