Mexican tourist rescued by Navy from a yacht in Cabo San Lucas

Los Cabos, Baja California Sur (BCS). A Mexican tourist was rescued by the Secretary of the Navy, when she was aboard a yacht in the bay of Cabo San Lucas; the crew had a knee strain and required medical attention, the institution said.

The actions were carried out after receiving an emergency call at the Operations Center of the Naval Search and Rescue Station of Los Cabos, and I sent the order for departure of the Defender vessel.

Once the vessel was located, rescue swimmers boarded the “Medex” yacht and proceeded to evacuate the female person, who was transferred to the Cabo San Lucas Naval Sector, where she was handed over to Red Cross rescuers for their specialized medical attention.

Finally, Semar informed that the Naval personnel that carry out the operational actions are highly trained to provide first aid, guaranteeing the safeguarding of human life at sea.
