Mexicali C4 Center cameras and personnel prevented a suicide from happening; a man tried to jump from a roof

A man tried to jump from the roof of a convenience store in downtown Mexicali, but he was detected by the Control, Computation, Command, Communication (C4) Center of the Baja California Secretary of Public Security, and emergency personnel rescued the man keeping the man from killing himself, it seemed he was under the influence of drugs or other substances.

A C4 video operator, who happened to see the man about to jump, followed up and called the Police, so personnel from Mexicali P.D. as well as from the Fire Department arrived to the corner of Melgar Street and Lopez Mateos Boulevard where they intervened the subject and rescued the man from the claws of death.

The swift intervention of authorities impeded a tragedy, police, rescuers and paramedics helped the man who was trying to call it quits with life, but the most important issue here was that the response capability protocols proved to be efficient and immediate, said Sub-Secretary of the State Security System, María Elena Rodríguez Ramos and said that the technological systems are priority tool for better Public Security coordinated actions.
