With the objective of strengthening the presence of Baja California Sur in the US market, specifically within the nature tourism segment, the State Tourism Trust (FITUES) and the municipalities of La Paz (FITUPAZ) and Loreto (FITULORE), participated in the “Scuba Show” diving fair, held in Long Beach, California on the last week of May.
This was announced by the secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (SETUES), Luis Humberto Araiza López, who pointed out that this event is one of the most important for scuba divers in the United States, hence the relevance to promote the state in this framework.
In this regard, he added that thousands of amateur and professional divers from different countries are attending this fair, who are looking for the best options to practice this sport.
He also indicated that there are hundreds of foreign companies that seek to generate business alliances, in order to attract the arrival of more visitors to Southern California destinations.
“Our state is internationally recognized as the “aquarium of the world”, for its wide and rich biodiversity as well as for its extraordinary natural beauty, and this has been thanks to the strong promotion that we have been implementing, and which has resulted in more development and economic benefits for the people of BCS, “concluded Luis Araiza.
