Heat wave hits Baja California Sur

According to data from the National Meteorological Service (SMN), Baja California Sur again exceeded 40 ºC on Wednesday June 12, the forecast of a heat wil prevail through the weekend; Strong winds are also expected throughout the region.

During the last 24 hours, Baja California Sur reached a maximum of 42 ºC, in the town of San Antonio, followed by La Paz, Loreto and Santiago, with 41 ºC each. The lowest temperature was 14 ºC and it belonged to the community of Gustavo Díaz Ordaz.

In the general forecast it was anticipated that in areas of Baja California Sur there will be temperatures of 40 ºC to 45 ºC, with a “highly hot” forecast for the region, as well as winds with gusts that can exceed 50 kilometers per hour (km / h ).

La Paz there will have clear skies with cloud intervals, as well as temperatures that will oscillate between maximum 36ºC and 40°C.
