American tourist stung by jellyfish rescued in Cabo

Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.- The Navy Secretariat of Mexico and the local Coast Guard, reported that personnel assigned to the Naval Search, Rescue and Maritime Surveillance Station of Los Cabos (ENSAR), provided support for the medical evacuation of an American tourist who was aboard the boat named “Guaycura”, on Santa María beach, in Cabo San Lucas BCS

This action was carried out in response to an emergency call via radio in the Operations Center of the ENSAR Los Cabos, where the skipper stated that an evacuation of a tourist was required, since the man man was stung by a jellyfish.

So immediately the Marine Rescue Plan was activated, ordering the departure of a Defender-class vessel to carry out the medical evacuation.

The tourist was evacuated and transferred to the Naval Sector from Cabo San Lucas, and he was taken to the local medical services for medical attention.
