Renowned American heavy metal band Metallica will offer four concerts in Brazil in 2020 as part of the WorldWired Tour, specialized media reported on Friday Aug. 16.
Two other shows will be held in South America – Santiago (Chile) and Buenos Aires (Argentina), as part of the tour.
According to sources, the band founded in 1981 in Los Angeles by Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield is scheduled to perform on April 21, 2020, in Porto Alegre, at the Gremio Arena, and two days later in Curitiba, at the Couto Pereira stadium.
Metallica will also perform in Sao Paulo at the Morumbi Stadium on April 25, and their last show will be two days later in Belo Horizonte, at the Mineirão football stadium.
So far, the WorldWired Tour has seen more than 150 shows played worldwide since early October 2016.
Metallica has released 10 studio albums, with the latest ‘Hardwired… to Self Destruct’ released worldwide on November 18, 2016.
The famed band has sold over 125 million albums worldwide and is considered one of the ‘Big Four’ thrash bands alongside Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax.
