La Paz, Baja California Sur.- “Our priority will be the broad, generous and deep development of the Baja California Sur families” said Carlos Mendoza Davis, after taking oath as the new constitutional governor of Baja California Sur.
Mendoza Davis delivered a speech at the Plaza Reforma Government Palace, in the capital city of La Paz, Baja California Sur, in which he acknowledged the work done by his predecessor, Marco Covarrubias Villaseñor.
He also said that during his administration, he will be a democratic governor, respectful of all forms of expression, and invited the judicial and legislative powers to work in a coordinated manner towards the wellness of the people of Baja California Sur.
“I will preside a responsible, efficient and effective government, always seeking maximum efficiency with minimal cost, the best is yet to come for Baja California Sur.”
In this event, the new governor was accompanied by Senator Ernesto Cordero and Ricardo Anaya Cortés, national leader of the National Action Party (PAN), who nominated him for the post he now occupies.
Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, Rafael Pacchiano Alaman, was present as President Enrique Pena Nieto’s personal representative, Deputy Maria Eda Palacios Márquez, president of the local congress; Judge Daniel Gallo Rodriguez, president of the Court of Justice of Baja California Sur; and PAN governors Francisco Vega from Baja California, Rafael Moreno Valle from Puebla and Mario López Valdez from Sinaloa.
