Mexicali teenagers conclude plastic arts and muralism workshop

The closing ceremony of the summer course at Casa Hogar “A Way Out, Una salida “, located in Colonia Ciprés took place on On Thursday, August 3.

These workshops were carried out with the aim of promoting recreational, artistic and cultural development in children; and were possible thanks to the joint effort of the 22 City of Mexicali through the Municipal Institute of Art and Culture (IMACUM) and the organization Chains of Assistance A.C (Cadenas de Asistencia A.C,.).

The event was attended by the Director of IMACUM, Carmen Angélica Espinoza Jiménez; the Coordinator of Communication and Public Relations of Cadenas de Asistencia A.C, María Fernanda Soberanes Eguía; the head of the household, Gabriela Ortiz; instructor Rogelio Pérez Cano; and participants.

The authorities congratulated and thanked those who explored their sensitivity, emotion and imagination through the completion of the mural, which was designed by Cadenas de Asistencia A.C instructors, and finished with the brush of the students under the guidance of Perez Cano.

After the symbolic cut of the ribbon, the delivery of certificates for the participants of both the Workshop of Plastic Arts I and the Workshop of Muralism I, a program that lasted five consecutive weeks.

With this type of activity, the City of Mexicali strengthens ties with other institutions to work in favor of the cachanilla community, in order to benefit the most vulnerable sectors of society.
