Mexicali city Council works fixing potholes

Fixing potholes all over Mexicali seems an impossible challenge, but the 22nd City Council keeps working on it, aiming to guarantee drivers safer and cleaner streets, said Francisco Reynoso Ambriz, Mexicali Public Works Director, and added that it is a permanent program in which work squads work on the streets as an answer to the citizens’ request.

He said that since December, they have been working on the streets fixing potholes on a surface of about 38 thousand square meters (about 110 thousand square feet) in the City, the valley and San Felipe, they have also been working on Nacozari and Reforma sections, Colón Avenue, Irma and Ana Streets, Miguel Jiménez Avenue as well as on Cetys and Gómez Morín Avenues, he explained that very soon they will be working on Chetumal Avenue in San Felipe.

The works are going on many city spots and they will start several others such as the pothole rehabilitation on Boulevards such as Venustiano Carranza and Lazaro Cárdenas, and metallic cover protection for several schools and remodeling public spaces such as parks and gardens, and Obregon Avenue which is an important project in Mexicali downtown.
