Yuma, Arizona – As part of a work tour, the mayor, Gustavo Sánchez Vasquez visited the city of Yuma Arizona, where he agreed to strengthen relations with his counterpart Douglas J. Nicholls.
In a statement it was reported that they met in the offices of the city council of that city, where they agreed to promote tourism, commercial exchange and investment projects between both cities.
Sánchez Vásquez highlighted the competitive advantages of investing in the capital of Baja California, as well as the tourist attractions and events that usually take place here.
It was announced that he personally invited Nicholls to attend the Border Mayors event, which will take place on September 29 in Mexicali.
Sanchez Vásquez reiterated the importance of strengthening the link between the valleys of California, Baja California, Arizona and Sonora, as well as fostering the development of industry between the two countries.
The mayor of Mexicali did not miss the opportunity to invite his counterpart in Yuma to attend the Sun Parties 2017, which will begin on September 27.
In addition to the common agenda that the residents have, they agreed to have a next meeting in the offices of the Municipal Presidency of Mexicali on September 21.
