In order to start the works on the replacement of stormwater drainage for a section of Anahuac Boulevard, the State Public Services Commission will completely close the road from the Rio Nuevo Road to the Lázaro Cárdenas Boulevard from north to south.
The closure of the road will start on Monday, September 4, the replacement of the pipeline is scheduled to be completed by the end of December.
Francisco Javier Paredes Director of CESPM explained that due to the magnitude of the work in which 800 meters of storm drain will be restored, it will be necessary to close the entire circulation.
“We had a very good experience here on Cetys Road where we were able to redirect traffic in two directions using the same lane,, but here it will be more difficult because of the traffic volume,” explained the official.
Replacement of the pipe is necessary since several points of the structure are considerably damaged and this increases the risk of collapsing or landslides.
The authority’s recommendation is that citizens use alternate routes to move, for which coordination was established with the Public Security Directorate.
