Federal Police seizes 337 kilos of methamphetamine and cocaine in Playas de Rosarito

During a police operation at kilometer 36 + 800 of the Tijuana-San Miguel highway, in Playas de Rosarito Baja California, agents of the Regional Security Division of the Federal Police (PF) stopped two vehicles carrying 337 kilograms of narcotics, mainly methamphetamine and cocaine.

The Federal Police said through a statement that the arrest of suspects and seizure of the drugs, which were found in 526 plastic containers hidden in suitcases and boxes, are part of the Titan-Shield operation (Operativo Titán-Escudo) implemented by federal forces in different cities of the country.

Upon noticing the presence of the Federal Police officers, the two cars carrying the drugs changed direction abruptly and tried to flee, but they were stopped by Federal Police agents, who arrested one of the drivers, while the other one was able to get off the car and managed to escape on foot.

The Federal Police informed that the narcotics insured and the detainee are now under custody of the Federal Public Ministry Agent to continue with the corresponding investigations.
