ENSENADA, BC- Thursday, May 3, 2018.- State Governor, Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, was recognized for his great effort in favor of the promotion and development of the wine sector. The recognition was made by the winemakers who make up the Product System Vine Baja California.
The state executive was awarded this distinction, as he recently approved the Law of Promotion of the Wine Industry of Mexico, by the Senate and Congress, the first regulatory framework that was proposed and promoted by Vega de Lamadrid since he served as a Federal Representative in 2011.
The State Governor accompanied by the Ambassador of Peru in Mexico, Julio Garro Gálvez, endorsed the commitment to continue working to strengthen the development of the Baja California area, emphasizing that this Law can be enriched to have more tools that could allow wine producers to access supports and programs to boost their economic growth.
Prior to the delivery of the recognition plaque, the President of the Product System Vid Baja California, Alberta Ceja Medina; and the Vice President, Jaime Palafox Granados, made a review of the actions that were taken to make this Act a reality today.
