Mexicali, Baja California, Friday, June 1, 2018.– The Mexican Northwest States recently agreed to promote artistic creation, the exchange of scenic experiences, the training and updating of theater makers through training activities of high level, culminating in the National Theater Show 2018.
With institutional collaboration between the 32 states and the federation, the aim is to raise the quality and dynamism of national theatrical production, promote competitiveness and recognition of the best stage productions in the five regions of the country: Northwest, Northeast, Central, West and South Center.
For this reason, the cultural representatives of each state met in recent days, concluding that the Regional Exhibition of Northwest Theater 2018 should be held in September in the city of Mexicali, Baja California.
Thus, the South Californian Institute of Culture, the Sonoran Institute of Culture, the Sinaloan Institute of Culture and the Institute of Culture of Baja California, together with the Federal Ministry of Culture, consolidated the strategy that will link state, regional and national theater associations.
For this reason, the Regional Theater Exhibitions 2018, which promote the scenic productions and potentialize the regional identity, will be held in September in Hidalgo (Center); San Luis Potosí (West Center); Baja California (Northwest); Tamaulipas (Northeast) and Veracruz (South).
The groups that win the State Theater Exhibitions in their locality, will compete in the Regional Theater Exhibitions and the five best stage productions of these meetings, will participate in November at the 39th National Theater Show 2018, in Mexico City.
