After President Lopez Obrador’s visit to Tijuana, Governor Francisco Kiko Vega travels to Mexico City

After President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) visited Tijuana, Governor Kiko Vega traveled to Mexico City and got together with Agriculture and Treasury Secretaries, trying to attract financial resource and paid special attention to the Fund for the States Strengthening and search for more support for the farming sector of Baja California.

During the meeting with Agriculture Secretary, Victor Villalobos, Governor Vega talked about the Rules for the Winery Industry Law as well as agriculture financial aid raise in order to deal with agriculture, cattle raising and fishery sanitation issues, as well as the request of Baja California State Government to include help and advisory regarding commercialization and distribution of crystalline wheat.  

In the meeting with the Treasury Secretary, Carlos Urzúa, they talked about an update of the education budget in Baja California, health and infrastructure, review the decentralization agreements in these matters and the tax powers and attributions of different Government levels and other tax allocation issues were part of the topics which were touched upon during the meeting, where other Governors also attended: Aguascalientes, Martín Orozco Sandoval; from Baja California Sur, Carlos Mendoza Davis; from Durango, José Rosas Aispuro; from Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue; from Querétaro, Francisco Domínguez Servién; from Tamaulipas, Francisco Javier García Cabeza from Vaca, así como el from Yucatán, Mauricio Vila Dosal.
