Baja California government seeks electrical subsidy 2019 to benefit 2 million Mexicali, San Felipe and Valley residents

As of March 5th, the Baja California Government began the procedures for the electrical power subsidy 2019, the so called 1-F fee, which will hold valid from May 1st to October 31st, and will benefit 2 million residents of Mexicali, who consume around 2 thousand 500 kilowatts.

Planning and Budget Secretary representatives met with the head of the Commercial Division of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) in Baja California to get acquainted with the current rules and procedures needed to obtain the subsidy, as well as the new amount.

Governor Kiko Vega reiterated the commitment to keep on seeking for coordination mechanisms with different instances, which may allow the people in Baja California in order to contribute to raise the life conditions and serve the necessities of citizens who live in Mexicali and due to the high temperatures; they consume much more electricity than the rest of the country.
